1. How much does a wedding cake cost?

Your investment in your wedding cake depends on the number of tiers, their sizes, shapes, and the decorations.

2. How do I decide what size cake is suitable for my wedding?

The number of guests attending your wedding will guide you to the correct size. The serving sizes for with coffee measure 5cm x 2cm x 7cm high.

If you are serving your cake as dessert, increase the cake size by one third.

Are you keeping the top tier for a future event? Count the number of serves for the other tier(s) only.

3. Is everything I see in the pictures included in the price?

Not always. Fresh flower arrangements should be organized through your florist, who will have access to the same flowers as in the rest of the bridal party and venue.

Sometimes unusual items are added to a cake theme, and these may incur an extra cost. Please contact Cake Couture so they can discuss your options with you.

4. How long before my wedding will I need to order our wedding cake?

When your wedding date is during the peak season (November to April) your cake should be ordered by three months in advance. Outside the season, a month’s notice is sufficient.

5. The style I like is the wrong shape. Do I have the option of changing it?

Yes. Most cake designs are suitable for different shapes: Round, square, hearts, hexagons, rectangles etc.

Cake Couture can also provide a designing service, where they will design a wedding cake that is the perfect match to your wedding theme.

6. The picture in the album is of three tiers. Can I order a smaller or larger cake?

Yes. Cake Couture cake designs are available in more or fewer tiers.

When you decide on a 4 tiers or larger cake, it will need to be assembled by their expert cake decorator on-site at the venue. Please contact Cake Couture for further information.

7. My perfect wedding cake style and size won’t feed all my guests. What can I do if I don’t want a larger cake on show?

Cake Couture offer kitchen cutting cakes. These cakes are iced and left undecorated. They are kept in the kitchen for serving after you have had your cake cutting ceremony. This is also a great idea when you are serving your wedding cake as your dessert, as the kitchen staff can start plating up the desserts as the cutting ceremony is under way.

8. May I have different flavours?

Yes, you may choose as many flavours as you have tiers. Your kitchen cutting cake can also be a different flavour.

If you choose a fruit cake, it can be any of the tiers. For example, you can have your fruit cake as the top tier even when you have soft cakes for the lower tiers.

9. What flavours can I choose from?

*Triple Chocolate chocolate cake

*White Chocolate Mud cake

*Raspberry Red Velvet cake

Carrot and Walnut cake

Banana cake

Citrus Madeira cake

Rich Fruit cake

Pineapple Fruit cake

You may even combine any two of our three *chocolate cakes as a layered tier.
